Crystal Palace are reportedly among the clubs interested in signing Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, Premier League duo Palace and Leicester City have both been taking a look at the 27-year-old Blues midfielder.
It is understood that many clubs from England and Italy admire the £120,000-a-week player, too.
However, Chelsea are yet to receive any official approaches for their academy graduate, who’s recently returned from a calf injury.
Simon Phillips told GiveMeSport: “There’s been a lot of what’s been described to me as tentative interest in Loftus-Cheek from English and Italian clubs. A few clubs in the Premier League have been taking a look at him, Crystal Palace being one and Leicester City being another, but no approaches have been made yet. It’s just interest on their side as they look at internal targets.”

Ruben Loftus-Cheek interest
Loftus-Cheek has been a Chelsea regular so far this season, making 20 appearances across all competitions. Will he still be a Blues player this time next week when the January window has shut closed, though?
Journalist Ben Jacobs claimed earlier this week that there is a “very strong possibility” that Loftus-Cheek may yet leave in January.
In our view, it would be a risk to let him go this month if there’s not a new signing in midfield.
It’s obvious that the Blues aren’t the strongest in the centre of the park right now and Loftus-Cheek has shown he can put in some steady performances in Potter’s XI.
If he wants to nail down a permanent starting position in the long-term, Palace or Leicester could be great options for him.

There’s been a lot of arrivals in the January window so far in west London, but will we see some outgoings in the next few days?
It’s clear there’s an overhaul taking place of the Chelsea squad right now, but it’s impossible for that to all happen in the space of two windows.
