Bayern Munich may be interested in signing Chelsea’s Mason Mount, according to reports.

There is a lot of talk right now about the future of Mason Mount, 24, who’s out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of next season.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano recently said on YouTube that Chelsea are making no progress in their attempts to get Mount to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

The attacking midfielder has been a vital player in the Blues squad during the last few years, but he continues to be linked with a potential transfer exit.

Thomas Tuchel, who was recently appointed Bayern’s new manager, could try to raid his former club this summer.

The Telegraph claimed earlier this week that Bayern could join the transfer race to sign Mateo Kovacic.

New speculation suggests the Bundesliga giants want another Chelsea star, too.

According to The Times, Bayern are considering capitalising on Mount’s contract situation by trying to sign the England international.

It is understood Tuchel is a huge admirer of the playmaker, who was an ever-present in his side when he was Chelsea boss.

The report adds that Chelsea would demand at least £50million for Mount amid interest from Liverpool as well.

Mount played some of his best football during Tuchel’s spell in West London. In fact, he scored 19 goals and made 20 assists in 86 appearances when he was Chelsea’s manager.

If the Englishman does leave the Blues, Bayern could be a great next destination for him. Many fans would much rather see him move abroad than play for a Premier League rival.

However, we would love to see all parties come to an agreement that ends in Mount signing a contract extension with his boyhood club.

It’s been a bit concerning to see his form drop off in this 2022/23 season, but let’s not forget he’s been Chelsea’s player of the year for the two previous campaigns. We expect him to bounce back and rediscover his form soon.
