Chelsea’s Todd Boehly has reportedly met with the agents of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar.

The Blues co-owner, who’s been at the heart of so much since the new ownership took charge at Stamford Bridge, is now chasing one of the most high-profile names in football.

90min recently claimed that Chelsea have contacted PSG directly to hold conversations about Neymar’s future.

New reports suggest Boehly has gone one step further with interest, too.

According to Foot Mercato, Boehly has now sat down and held talks with Neymar’s entourage in recent days.

It is understood that Chelsea’s owner has spoken with the 31-year-old’s agents to explain the project at the Bridge and the potential of a move to west London.

The South American playmaker has a phenomenal record so far this season, scoring 17 goals and creating 16 assists in 28 PSG games across all competitions.

His contract in the French capital doesn’t expire until the summer of 2025, but there’s now transfer speculation circling about his future.

Described as a “world-class player” last year by Mauricio Pochettino, Neymar’s career speaks for itself.

The Brazilian attacker has a star quality that makes him one of his generation’s very best players, but there’s a lot of baggage that comes with him in terms of wages and behaviour.

For Chelsea, he’s not the right signing to target.

There’s no way he fits into the recent trend of Chelsea’s signings, so Boehly needs to perform a quick U-turn and stay clear of any summer deal.

If Graham Potter’s side need anyone playing in the No.10 position next season, Joao Felix is the man. Let’s hope Todd gets on the phone to Atletico Madrid soon enough.
