N’Golo Kante has decided to sign a contract extension with Chelsea, according to reports.
Foot Mercato claims that Kante has now agreed a new deal with the Blues, which will extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
The 31-year-old midfielder’s deal was due to expire at the end of this season, but it is understood all parties have reached a solution after “several weeks” of discussions.
The reports adds that the agreement is Kante’s new deal will run until 2026, with an option to extend it a further year until 2027.

Described as a “world-class player” by Graham Potter, Kante has been an integral Chelsea individual since he joined in 2016.
The Frenchman’s imminent contract renewal is something which will delight most of the fanbase, albeit there’s always the slight concern around his recent injury problems.
He’s not played a single game since August due to a hamstring problem, but he’s been spotted around training with the group recently.
Hopefully, the central midfielder can soon return to lift a Chelsea side in horrendous form.

The fact Kante has decided to stay with Chelsea beyond the summer means he wants to be part of the new era.
He’s yet to make an appearance since Potter was appointed as the head coach mid-season, so it’ll be interesting to see how the pair gel moving forward.
We are most excited about the prospect of Kante slotting into a side alongside Enzo Fernandez, who was a high-profile midfield recruit in January.
