Chelsea are interested in signing Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise this summer and playing him in a different position.

That is according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The report claims that Michael Olise, 21, is a ‘concrete’ option for the Blues during this summer transfer window.

It is understood that some people inside Chelsea believe the right-winger is more suited as an attacking midfielder, so could look to deploy him as a No 10 if he arrives at Stamford Bridge.

In addition, Chelsea shouldn’t have any issue sorting personal terms with the player if they can arrange a deal with Premier League rivals Palace.

Last Word on Football claimed earlier this week that Chelsea are preparing to make an opening bid for Olise.

Meanwhile, Palace boss Roy Hodgson has recently admitted his side face a real fight to keep hold of their talented French winger.

“Slight doubt… we have a fight on our hands to make sure he (Olise) stays with us,” Hodson said, as quoted by The Athletic.

Olise, who’s been described as “unbelievable” by Ian Wright on ITV Sport, as quoted by Foobtall.London, is an extremely creative attacker.

It wouldn’t be completely alien to see the Palace trickster drift infield and operate from a central position, but he usually has the right wing as a starting base to work from.

His pace, dribbling and weight of pass could make him a great creative outlet in any Premier League setup next season. Will that end up being for Chelsea, though?

In our view, the 21-year-old’s got a massive career ahead of him and it should all come down to his transfer cost.
