Reports from Spain have claimed that Chelsea are now set to beat Barcelona to the signing of Gabriel Moscardo.
According to Sport, a deal worth just over £25m is set to be agreed for him to join the Blues in the next few days.
Moscardo is a 17-year-old central midfielder who has already put a number of top teams on notice after some of his performances in the middle of the park for Corinthians.

Chelsea’s interest in bringing the youngster in became apparent a few days before the summer transfer window came to a close.
The want to bring him in stems from the desire Todd Boehly has brought to sign some of the world’s best young players before they reach their true potential.
Chelsea set to beat Barcelona to Moscardo
Whether the main aim is for them to feature at Stamford Bridge or sell them on for a profit, it can’t be denied that they have gone all in on the strategy.
Some of the highlight acquisitions so far have been the likes of Andrey Santos, Cesare Casadei and Deivid Washington. The latter was seen on the bench for the last Premier League game against Nottingham Forest.

The first two though have good loan moves now, both getting the opportunity to further prove they are good enough after strong pre-season campaigns.
It looks as if they could be about to be joined by another midfielder in the form of Moscardo.
This is despite Barcelona being particularly obsessed about signing the player, with them determining he could have been the long-term heir to recently departed Sergio Busquets.
