Chelsea are currently working on a deal to sign Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, but Arsenal are set join the race by launching a bid for him.
That is according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips.
There have been plenty of rumours flying around recently about the future of Moises Caicedo, whose manager has said on record that he could exit the Amex Stadium this summer. Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi told Sky Sports that at the end of the season, the 21-year-old midfielder could be sold.

Phillips has claimed on his Substack this week that Chelsea are working behind the scenes right now on a deal for Caicedo.
It is understood that the Blues are in ongoing discussions with Brighton about the Ecuador international.
He adds that Arsenal now have an offer ready for Caicedo that they intend to submit shortly. They’ll make this offer regardless of how their pursuit for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice goes, too. The Gunners are as financially strong as ever as well.

Journalist Rudy Galetti has claimed on Twitter that Mauricio Pochettino has identified Caicedo as his main target to strengthen the Blues midfield this summer.
The incoming Chelsea manager could have a big job on his hands restructuring the midfield, with the likes of Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante both strongly linked with transfer exits.
We certainly would like to see Caicedo added to the Chelsea ranks this summer. His form in Brighton colours last season proved he’s one of the Premier League’s best defensive midfielders.
However, the latest update from Phillips regarding Arsenal’s interest is a big concern.
