Fabrizio Romano has shared an update on the future of Juventus star Kenan Yildiz amid rumours linking him with a move to Chelsea.
Chelsea recently received a boost after it was reported that Yildiz is seeking a £5m-a-year contract.
That salary would see the attacker easily fit into the Blues’ wage structure, which has become more strict following the club’s takeover in 2022.
Should Chelsea sell Enzo Fernandez to buy Elliot Anderson?
If they are planning to sign Yildiz, though, they may have to wait until the end of this season.

Chelsea have no chance of signing Kenan Yildiz in January
The Chelsea Chronicle understands that intermediaries have contacted Chelsea about Yildiz’s situation at Juventus, with the 20-year-old yet to agree a new contract.
However, there is zero chance of Yildiz leaving Turin in January, according to Romano. It means that Chelsea may not be able to sign him until next summer.
Speaking on The Here We Go Podcast, Romano said: “I think there is a 0% chance to see Kenan Yildiz leaving Juventus in the January transfer window. Kenan Yildiz is fully focused on Juventus, he’s the number 10, he’s the star of the squad, so no chance for him to leave.”
Romano has also spoken about Romeo Lavia after claims that Chelsea offered the midfielder to Manchester United in the summer.
It has been reported that the Blues wanted to do a swap deal involving Lavia and Alejandro Garnacho, but Romano has quashed that rumour.

Kenan Yildiz remaining at Juventus great news for Facundo Buonanotte
One Chelsea star who will be happy to hear that Yildiz is staying at Juventus is Facundo Buonanotte. The Club World Cup winners signing Yildiz would have had serious ramifications for him.
Buonanotte is already struggling for game time at Chelsea this season. In total, he has made just one appearance in the Premier League so far. The arrival of Yildiz would have made his situation even worse.
The Argentine will be hoping for more opportunities in the second half of the campaign, which seems possible now that Yildiz is unlikely to be a January option for Chelsea. It is a positive development for Buonanotte, though the Argentina international will still not be happy with how things are going for him at the moment.
