Chelsea’s 10 most expensive transfer signings of all time include Enzo Fernandez at #2

The Chelsea Chronicle takes a look at the top 10 biggest transfer signings in Chelsea history, with star player Enzo Fernandez in second.

The Blues are well-known for being one of the clubs to transform the transfer market, with their incredible spending under Roman Abramovich and now Todd Boehly and Co.

On one hand, this has worked extremely well as they have been as successful as any English side in the 21st century.

However, it turns out that many of the West London club’s top signings have not panned out at all.

With that said, the Chelsea Chronicle takes a look at the most expensive transfer signings in Chelsea history.

10 – Christian Pulisic – £58m

Christian Pulisic was signed from Borussia Dortmund in January 2019 for £58m.

9 – Alvaro Morata – £58m

Alvaro Morata was signed from La Liga giants Real Madrid in July 2017 for £58m. It wasn’t too wise of an investment.

Marc Cucurella was signed from Premier League club Brighton for £63m in August 2022.

7 – Kepa Arrizabalaga – £72m

Kepa Arrizabalaga became the most expensive goalkeeper in world football with his £72m move from Athletic Bilbao in August 2018.

6 – Kai Havertz – £75m

Kai Havertz was signed from Bayer Leverkusen in September 2020 for £75m. He has since left Cobham for Arsenal.
