Bayern Munich strongly believe that Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga wants to join them this summer.

That is according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

He reported on Friday evening that German heavyweights Bayern Munich are confident that Kepa Arrizabalaga, 28, wants a move to the Allianz Arena.

In addition, the Bundesliga champions are trying to negotiate a deal where he joins on loan with an option to buy.

Plettenberg wrote on Twitter: “Clear feeling for Bayern is, that he wants to join them! But there are no final agreements with Chelsea yet.

“Bayern is pushing for a loan with an option to buy.”

Kepa, who earns £147,000-a-week (Salary Sport), is the current first-choice goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge.

However, the Blues signed Robert Sanchez earlier in the summer transfer window from Brighton to provide competition in-between the sticks.

Now, Bayern feel like Kepa wants out and a move to Germany.

Journalist Kerry Hau reported on Twitter this week that Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel has told his club to go out and sign Kepa in this summer transfer window.

Despite the fact he lost his starting position under Tuchel, Kepa is being tipped with a reunion in Munich for the new season.

In our view, Kepa’s time in Chelsea colours has come to a natural conclusion after five years in west London.

The Spanish shot-stopper can still be a top keeper on his day and a fresh challenge could bring the best out of him. Unfortunately, there’s just too much baggage and pressure on him whenever he takes to the field in a Chelsea kit.
