Chelsea target Evan Ferguson is likely to be sold in the future by Brighton.
That is according to one senior Seagulls figure.
Paul Barber, the CEO of Brighton, admits that Evan Ferguson will most likely leave the Amex Stadium further down the line.
Brighton has established themselves as one of the very best clubs in Europe when it comes to their transfer business, usually making huge profits on player sales. They’ve certainly squeezed every penny out of Chelsea in the last few years during interactions between the Premier League rivals.
So, will 19-year-old striker Ferguson be the next Brighton talent to move elsewhere for a mega transfer fee?

Barber think Ferguson is an “incredible talent” that is likely to be sold at some stage as part of the business model. The Brighton chief refused to put a timeframe on any exit, though.
“Someone like Evan, who’s an incredible talent, he’s still got a way to go to learn his trade,” Barber told talkSPORT.
“Letting him go at some point in the future is going to be I’m sure part of the overall plan, both from our side and Evan’s side, but in the short-term we want to try and make sure we develop him the best we can.”
Chelsea target Evan Ferguson will be sold
Ferguson is one of the most talented teenagers around right now, scoring 15 goals in 53 first-team appearances for Brighton since a senior breakthrough.
Football Transfers reported earlier this week that Chelsea have made an audacious bid to sign Ferguson on loan until the end of the season. Apparently, the attempt was knocked back by Brighton, so the youngster’s now likely a target for the summer window.
TalkSPORT recently claimed that Chelsea do have Ferguson on their striker shortlist for the summer. The Republic of Ireland talent could cost upwards of a huge £115million, though.
Ferguson looks like a sensational youngster with limitless potential, but we’d have serious question marks if Chelsea cough up anywhere near a nine-figure sum.
