Leicester City are moving closer in their bid to sign Chelsea youngster Cesare Casadei on loan.
That is according to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Romano explained on Twitter earlier this week that Leicester are insisting on a move for Cesare Casadei on loan.
Now, there’s fresh claims to suggest a deal may be edging closer.

Romano has now shared this Friday that Leicester and Chelsea are making progress during conversations about Casadei.
He wrote on Twitter: “Leicester City and Chelsea, advancing in talks over Cesare Casadei loan deal.
“Italian coach Enzo Maresca could be a crucial factor…”

We’ve liked what we’ve seen in this summer’s pre-season from Casadei, who’s been with the first-team squad under Mauricio Pochettino.
The 20-year-old is a genuine box-to-box midfielder with some great physical and technical attributes.
Our preference would be for him to spend time getting regular minutes out on loan. Leicester, who should be promotion chasers in the Championship, may be the ideal fit as well.
The Telegraph reports that Chelsea view him as a rising star with ‘huge potential’. A successful loan in the Championship should push him closer to the Blues first team.
