Portsmouth are working tirelessly to sign Chelsea’s Tino Anjorin on loan.

That is according to a report from Football.London.

They claim that Portsmouth, who currently play in League One, are ‘pushing hard’ to get Tino Anjorin on loan this season.

It is understood that the 21-year-old Blues youngster has a wave of transfer this summer from clubs in England, France, Holland, Germany, Denmark and Scotland.

Could he be about to drop down to England’s third tier for a year, though?

We highly rate for what Anjorin did over several years in Chelsea’s academy. He’s played five first-team games for the Blues, too.

However, the English talent needs time to get back on track after suffering a serious long-term injury during last season’s loan in the Championship with Huddersfield Town.

Another loan deal for this campaign is a no-brainer to help with his development, but it needs to be somewhere he plays regularly.

If fit and firing, Anjorin has the individual talent to walk into a starting line-up for a League One team.

The Athletic did report earlier this month that Chelsea do still massively rate Anjorin as an emerging talent.

The attacking midfielder should still hold hope of forcing his way back into the senior team at Stamford Bridge, especially because of the emphasis at the club put on young players.

Portsmouth supporters should be very happy if they get this deal over the line!
