Sporting Lisbon are trying to make it extremely difficult for Chelsea to sign Viktor Gyokeres.
Chelsea are the club who are most interested in Viktor Gyokeres, according to Correio da Manha.
As a result of the Blues sniffing around, the same outlet has claimed that Sporting are now planning to offer their striker a new contract that would see his €100m (£85.8m) release clause increase to €120m (£103m).
It has been reported that Chelsea have already had a £73m bid for Gyokeres rejected.
Sporting will be desperate to keep hold of the Sweden international given the impact he has made at the club this season. In 16 league appearances, he has scored 11 goals.

Sporting Lisbon want to hand Viktor Gyokeres a £103m release clause
Sporting look ready to make their move to keep Gyokeres at the club this month and possibly beyond the summer. A £103m release clause in his contract could really help them with that.
It is an obscene amount of money, an amount of money Chelsea should not pay and that is hard to imagine them paying.
Gyokeres is certainly having a good season in Portugal, but that does not make him a £100m player. He was only in English football’s second tier a year ago after all. The Sporting man needs to do much more to warrant such a huge transfer fee.
That being said, the same could have been said about someone like Enzo Fernandez, for example.
While the 23-year-old did help Argentina to win the World Cup, he had only been in Europe for around six months before Chelsea signed him in a £107m deal (BBC Sport). It means you cannot rule anything out with them, but again, you just have to question if Gyokeres is worth anywhere near £100m. The answer is probably not.
