Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku will definitely sign for Inter Milan this summer, but all parties are still in discussions about the terms of the deal.
That is according to journalist Graeme Bailey.
Romelu Lukaku, who spent last season out on loan with Inter, is tipped to rejoin them ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
The 30-year-old centre-forward fell out of favour at Stamford Bridge during his second stint with the Blues, so it does seem like there would need to be a major U-turn for him to win supporters back.
However, his current deal means he’s still contracted as a Chelsea player until 2026.

Bailey has confidently claimed that Lukaku will be playing in Inter colours next season.
However, the reason a deal is not yet confirmed is because everyone is working on the details of the transfer.
Chelsea’s preference would be to sell the Belgium international, who earns a massive £350,000-a-week (Salary Sport) wage. Serie A giants Inter would like the left-footed frontman back on loan again, though.
When discussing Lukaku’s potential move to Inter, Bailey told the ‘Talking Transfers’ podcast: “All three sides want this to happen. Romelu Lukaku has rejected Saudi. He’s told Chelsea he wants to go back to Inter… He only wants to play for Inter. Inter want him back. They appreciate him and like him a lot.
“Basically, Chelsea would like him off the books permanently. He’s on a lot of money, huge wages. He’s willing to take a wage drop, but Inter would still rather do a loan with an obligation, maybe mandatory purchase. They are just hammering away at what kind of deal it’s going to be.
“Romelu Lukaku will be an Inter Milan player next year.”

It’s fantastic news that the Lukaku saga will end positively for everyone.
Our hope is that Chelsea can try negotiate wisely to cut the losses on him, but the fact of the matter is his return to the club has been a disaster.
We don’t want any of this hanging over new Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino, so the quicker we can complete a sale/loan the better.
