Fabrizio Romano claims £35m player wants to join Juventus despite interest from Chelsea

Chelsea could watch one of their recent targets move to Juventus before the end of the transfer window.

Chelsea have made a lot of improvements at the back this summer. For example, they have brought in Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham and Renato Veiga from Basel.

The Blues will not stop there either, with the club closing in on the signing of Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen.

Chelsea did their necessary checks on Jorgensen yesterday. Assuming he passed his medical, the 22-year-old will become a Chelsea player.

There has not been too much strengthening in attack, though, and the club now look like they could miss out on one winger they have looked at to Juventus.

Karim Adeyemi keen on Juventus move

Karim Adeyemi was high on Chelsea’s list at one point, or that is at least how it looked.

But if the Borussia Dortmund star is to move anywhere this summer, then Thiago Motta’s Juventus appear to be his most likely destination.

According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, Adeyemi is keen on a move to Turin and his father and agent have already spoken to the Italian giants.

Speaking on The Debrief, Romano said: “Juve want to sign Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund as a new winger. This is the idea of the club.

“They’ve already met the agent of the player and the father of the player together in Germany last week. It was a very positive meeting; Adeyemi’s keen on a move to Juventus.”

Chelsea should allow Karim Adeyemi to join Juventus

Chelsea should not get caught up in a transfer battle for Adeyemi. They already have Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk, and there is nothing to suggest that he would come in and do a better job than the pair.

Last season, the German scored just five goals in 35 appearances. According to the Daily Mail, Dortmund value him at £35m, but with stats like that, it may just be worth Chelsea saving their money instead.

Adeyemi his hinted his future may be away from Dortmund, but you would have to question if the Germany international is actually needed at Stamford Bridge.

Again, having invested so much in Sterling and Mudryk, the club putting their trust in him instead of buying Adeyemi should be the course of action here.
