Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea are set to increase their bid for Moises Caicedo in the coming week.
He said on his YouTube channel that the Blues are hoping to have the deal done this week, although there are no guarantees about this.
Caicedo is beginning to drag on as a transfer saga this summer, and that will not be good news for Chelsea.

The club will have been hoping to have this all wrapped up before they began their pre-season tour of the USA.
However, the players and staff are set to travel today, although only those who Mauricio Pochettino sees as part of his squad for next season.
Chelsea to increase Caicedo bid
Chelsea do have a number of new signings already through the door and ready to travel to America this week. Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson will both be there after beginning training with their new side.
However, the Ecuador international has still not arrived, even though he was promised a move after rejecting one back in January.
Romano has said that the Blues are now about to raise their bid in the coming week to try and put an end to this saga.

He said: “Chelsea are set to increase their bid of more than £70 million guaranteed plus an add-on fee for Moises Caicedo.
“This will be done in a verbal discussion in the hope of convincing Brighton. Chelsea wants the deal done next week, but there are no guarantees with Brighton. They are speaking every day. There’s no guarantee with Brighton that the deal will be done next week.”
If the club do get a deal over the line, they will be safe in the knowledge that they are going to be bringing in an ‘incredible’ midfielder to play alongside Enzo Fernandez.
