Frank Lampard could turn to one of his former Chelsea players in his bid to keep Coventry City in the Premier League next season.
Under Lampard, Coventry have managed to earn promotion to English football’s top flight after winning the Championship.
It is likely to be a tough and gruelling season for the Sky Blues in the Premier League, and Lampard clearly wants to be prepared for it.

Frank Lampard wants to sign Mason Mount for Coventry
Lampard worked with Mason Mount at Chelsea and Derby County, and the 47-year-old is now reportedly eyeing him again.
On Si Phillips Talks Chelsea, Phillips has revealed that he has heard from his sources that Lampard wants to make an ambitious move for his former player this summer.
The Blues sold Mount to their Premier League rivals Manchester United in 2023 for an initial £55m fee.

The attacking midfielder had entered the final year of his contract, and BlueCo did not want to run the risk of him leaving on a free transfer.
Things have not quite worked out for Mount at Old Trafford, so it would not be a shock if he departed in the near future.
However, at this moment in time, Mount may not be prepared to join a newly-promoted side like Coventry.
He was integral in Chelsea winning the Champions League in 2021, but Mount no longer has a good relationship with Chelsea supporters.
What Mason Mount’s record under Frank Lampard looks like
Lampard could be the man to get Mount’s career going again. The former midfielder got a lot out of him at Chelsea and Derby.
In total, Mount has made 127 appearances under Lampard. Across those games, he has scored 22 goals and provided 18 assists, according to Transfermarkt.
Chelsea fans thought Mount was a big loss when he left, but the 27-year-old was swiftly replaced by Cole Palmer, who has proven to be a huge upgrade.
