'Fully agreed': Fabrizio Romano suggests club have just confirmed the signing of 25-year-old Chelsea player
Barcelona may have all-but confirmed the signing of Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen.
Well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano suggests that Barcelona’s president Joan Laporta may have just unofficially announced the capture of the Blues 25-year-old for next season.
Laporta has said the Spanish giants have agreed to sign an unnamed defender and unnamed midfielder.
Romano thinks that’s Chelsea centre-back Christensen, as well as AC Milan’s Franck Kessie.
James Officially Returns To HITC!
Christensen, whose contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season, appears to be heading for the exit doors.
The ball-playing centre-half has been an excellent player for the Blues during 156 first-team games but could be leaving the Premier League for La Liga.
With government sanctions currently imposed on Thomas Tuchel’s side, they’re not permitted from discussing contract extensions with their players.
Ex-Barcelona player Michael Laudrup has previously said he thinks Christensen would be a success at Camp Nou.
Mr Underrated at Chelsea
For certain, Christensen is one of the unsung heroes in this Chelsea group.
He’s such a reliable player whenever picked by his manager Thomas Tuchel and can play in any of the three centre-half positions to a great standard.
Let’s hope he can win even more trophies with the club if this is to be his final few months in West London.
The Denmark international has won the Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup, League Cup, Club World Cup and Super Cup with Chelsea so far.
