Chelsea supporters urged Roman Abramovich to open up his cheque and secure Gianluigi Donnarumma following a fresh twist in his transfer tail.
Italian journalist Maurizio Pistocchi claimed that Donnarumma’s agent, Mino Raiola, had rejected AC Milan’s recent contract renewal proposal.
Here’s how Blues fans reacted to the news they may be one step closer to signing the Italian goalkeeper.
According to Eurosport, Chelsea have been monitoring Donnarumma’s situation with Milan for some time.
His deal at the San Siro runs out this summer, meaning the 22-year-old will soon be a free agent and open for a move to whoever wants him.
There will be no shortage of interested suitors for the talented ‘keeper, who has already made well over 200 appearances for the Rossoneri.

However, his wage demands may put people off.
It is believed that Donnarumma was looking for around £9.1m (Eurosport) a year.
Milan apparently offered him close to £7m (Pistocchi), a sum that Raiola refused.
He instead asked for almost double that figure, a request that will unlikely be accepted.

If Chelsea met Donnarumma and his representative’s wishes, it would easily make him the highest earner at the club.
This would put him ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is one of the players likely to make way for the Italian international.

I’ve said before that I’m not entirely sold on this Donnarumma idea.
Granted, he’s a great ‘keeper with a fantastic future ahead of him.
But we have Edouard Mendy as number one and Kepa in reserve, two names I think Chelsea should try and commit to for at least one more campaign.
