Michael Olise has nearly agreed personal terms with Chelsea, but Premier League rivals Crystal Palace don’t want to sell him this summer.

That is according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

We’ve heard recent speculation that Michael Olise, 21, is a transfer target for Chelsea in the current window.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed on Twitter earlier this month that Chelsea and Manchester City have both set their sights on Olise. He added that the Palace winger does have a £35million release clause, but interested buyers are waiting to hear the extent of his current injury problem.

The fresh speculation is that Chelsea are very close to agreeing personal terms with the French attacker.

Ben Jacobs has reported that Palace really don’t want to lose Olise.

It is explained that Chelsea are on the verge of sorting personal terms, albeit the clubs are not near to agreeing a transfer sum.

Jacobs told GiveMeSport: “There is genuine interest. Crystal Palace don’t want to sell, but Olise is very close to agreeing terms with Chelsea.

“Obviously, players can agree terms have multiple clubs, so the most important thing in all of this is whether a deal can be reached with Crystal Palace, but he is a very concrete option for Chelsea. Therefore, he is one to watch over the coming weeks.”

Described as “very gifted” by Gary Lineker on Twitter, Olise is a quality forward with evidence he can shine in the Premier League.

The skilful right-winger had a really healthy season last year for Palace, scoring two goals and making 11 assists in the Premier League.

We suspect there’s a lot more to come from the French trickster, but will that development continue at Selhurst Park or elsewhere in the Premier League?
