Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling joined Arsenal on loan a year ago in a last-minute deadline day move. Could history now be about to repeat itself in the 2025 transfer window?
Raheem Sterling is running out of time to leave Chelsea if he wants to be playing first-team football this season. The experienced 30-year-old winger hasn’t been with Enzo Maresca’s main group this summer because he’s with the bomb squad waiting to secure a move elsewhere.
Sterling was tipped to leave Stamford Bridge this summer following his return from an unsuccessful loan at Arsenal.

Fulham revive Raheem Sterling conversations
Sterling has been linked with several clubs this summer, including Premier League rivals Fulham.
Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali spoke with Fulham about Sterling last week regarding a possible deal. Apparently, they tried to negotiate for a permanent deal, which we think would be preferable as the individual has no obvious future at Stamford Bridge.
Now, fresh reports on deadline day suggest that a move to Craven Cottage could be on.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed via X that Fulham have revived their summer move for Chelsea’s Sterling with conversations because he’s emerged as a late target on deadline day.
Earlier in the window, Fulham supporters were reluctant on the idea of signing Sterling, so let’s wait and see if they’ll be disappointed by the time the window closes.

Raheem Sterling should be ecstatic if Fulham move happens
It must have been a frustrating wait this summer for Sterling regarding his future, but it would be superb for him to secure a move to Fulham in the closing stages of the window.
Sterling, who has 82 England caps, may not be the player he once was a few years ago. It would be some coup for Fulham to bring the winger to their club, though.
Marco Silva’s Fulham side are a quality side that should cruise to mid-table in the Premier League this term, but it’s been a quiet summer for them until now. Sterling could be the sort of punt that makes sense late in the window because if he can recapture even half of his form he would add a lot of value.
