Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea have now agreed personal terms with Moises Caicedo ahead of a potential transfer.

They are ultimately looking for the best possible candidate who can partner Enzo Fernandez in the long term.

Even though everyone at the club has been extremely happy with the performances of the World Cup winner, it has been recognised that a shroud piece of business this summer could see them get even more out of him.

There were originally thoughts that the best figure for this would be Manuel Ugarte, however their efforts to bring him in were blown out the water by PSG.

Now though, work is about to get underway as far as negotiating with Brighton is concerned. This is known throughout football as not an easy task.

Romano has stated that this stage of the process to try and secure the £80m man is ready to get underway.

He said: “Chelsea have an agreement with Caicedo, now talks between Chelsea & Brighton.”

The Seagulls may point to their own personal interest in signing Chelsea youngster Levi Colwill as a reason why they will be playing hardball with the Blues.

The recently qualified for Europe overachievers are prepared to break their own transfer record in order to bring the Englishman in permanently after an impressive loan last season.

However, Chelsea have so far been adamant that the player is not for sale, with new manager Mauricio Pochettino already making it clear that he is a big fan of the youngster.
