Fabrizio Romano reports that the door is still open for Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar to leave, with Chelsea a potential next destination.
Speaking to CaughtOffside, Romano stated that it’s all down to Skriniar whether he wants to remain at the San Siro or not.
The 27-year-old’s contract expires in June, meaning he will be available to the market as a free agent unless a new deal is confirmed soon.
Inter are clearly eager to renew the defender’s allegiance to the badge, as he remains one of their most important players.

He hasn’t missed a single game this season, starting all but one of the 15 Serie A matches so far.
Simone Inzaghi even named him the skipper for a handful of fixtures, an honour that could be his permanently if he remains in Italy.
Yet, there is apparent interest from several European sides who would love to call-upon Skriniar’s services.
Could Chelsea make Milan Skriniar one of their own?
Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked to the Slovakian.
Chelsea reportedly made strides in the summer to sign the defensive rock, and even met with his agent to try and secure a transfer.
Skriniar has seemingly remained on Todd Boehly’s radar, with the Stamford Bridge chain of command possibly in the queue to make another move.
“Chelsea were considering him last summer, PSG have always been leading the race, but Inter are still pushing to extend his contract,” explained Romano on Skriniar’s situation.

“A new deal and the captain’s armband have been offered – it’s now up to Skriniar; he has to decide.”
That’s not a bad present right before Christmas.
However, the gift of £70m might be enough to ultimately persuade Inter to let Skriniar go into the arms of Chelsea are another of his suitors.
