Zlatan Ibrahimovic said he would welcome Olivier Giroud with open arms if he left Chelsea to join AC Milan this summer.
In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Ibrahimovic was asked to comment on the potential arrival of Giroud in Milan.
According to Calciomercato, Chelsea’s French forward is set to join the Italian side with his Stamford Bridge contract coming to a close.

There has been no indication from the Blues that they will extend his deal and will likely allow him to leave as a free agent.
Milan already have one well-travelled striker in their ranks, but Ibrahimovic had no issues with Giroud joining the Rossoneri.
“The more high-level players we can enter, the better,” said the Swedish veteran.
“Giroud has great experience and we don’t have many players who have won trophies. If he comes, he is welcome.”
Thankfully for Milan, Giroud brings both vast expertise and silverware.
The 34-year-old was recently crowned a Champions League winner with Chelsea, to go alongside his Europa League triumph in 2019.

He also claimed four FA Cups- three during his Arsenal career- and the 2018 World Cup with France.
Of course, Ibrahimovic also knows a thing or two about collecting titles.
However, Milan as an entity are lacking in trophies.
Their last major honour was in the 2016 Supercoppa Italiana final; they have not achieved Serie A glory for a decade.
Stefano Pioli’s team finished second last season and will hope the possible addition of Giroud can propel them above their nosy neighbours, Inter.
