Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek reportedly wants to stay at Stamford Bridge.
As it stands, the midfielder’s current deal with the Blues is due to expire in the summer of 2024.
However, the 26-year-old player hopes to continue playing with Chelsea as part of Graham Potter’s squad.
The Chelsea academy graduate has had an up and down senior career that’s included spells out on loan, but he’s reintegrated himself into the senior squad during the past 18 months.

Loftus-Cheek wants to stay at Chelsea
Journalist Simon Phillips explains that Loftus-Cheek’s ambition is to continue playing at the Bridge. He also mentions there was recently a chance of potential contract conversations, too.
Simon Phillips told GMS: “It’s an interesting one because not so long ago they were talking about extending his contract and they were going to sit down with him and do that.
“Loftus-Cheek, in his eyes, he wants to stay at Chelsea. He’s always maintained the desire to stay here and make it at Chelsea, and he’s continued to prove that in recent seasons.”

Chelsea played 21 games across all competitions this season before the winter break, with Loftus-Cheek featuring in 20 of them.
There’s no doubt the versatile midfielder has become an important member of the Blues squad, whether that be starting or coming off the bench in matches.
It looks like his versatility to play midfield or wing-back is a big tick for Graham Potter.
Ian Wright said back in October that everyone was starting to see Loftus-Cheek find form after getting a regular run of minutes. Will that continue post-World Cup, though?
