Napoli are interested in signing Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku as they prepare for Victor Osimhen’s potential departure this summer.
Victor Osimhen has been linked to a few of Europe’s top clubs, including Chelsea. In fact, it has been claimed that Osimhen has an offer from Chelsea.
Even if the Blues do not sign the 25-year-old and he ends up staying at Napoli, though, you would still expect Romelu Lukaku to leave the club during this transfer window.
After spending the last two seasons out on loan, the Belgian clearly has no future in west London. Now it is just about Chelsea finding a buyer for him, which could be Napoli.

How much money do Chelsea actually want for Romelu Lukaku?
Chelsea signed Lukaku from Inter Milan for £97.5m back in 2021. It is obviously not a fee that they are going to get for him. Inter’s rivals AC Milan did want Lukaku on loan this summer.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea are happy to sell Lukaku for £37.5m, but it seems unlikely that they will get that sum for the 31-year-old, or at least from Napoli.
Rather, the same outlet has claimed that a £25m deal could be concluded instead. Chelsea, then, look set to make a heavy loss on Lukaku.
However, the club will just be desperate to get his wages off their books. The Belgium international is currently on a £325,000-a-week contract (Spotrac) at Stamford Bridge.
Everyone can be a winner if Chelsea sign Victor Osimhen
Chelsea are yet to sign a striker who is guaranteed to be in the first team for the upcoming season.
With that in mind, Chelsea really should try everything they can to bring Osimhen in this summer. The Nigerian is obviously one of the top centre-forwards in the world, scoring almost 50 goals over the last two campaigns.
The Blues can kill two birds with one stone by signing him. They acquire a proven goalscorer while offloading an unwanted asset to Napoli.
And Lukaku himself is also a proven forward, so this could work out pretty well for Napoli too. Lukaku was linked to Manchester United, but a return to Old Trafford looks unlikely.
