Gary Lineker has given a glowing verdict on Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana, who’s reportedly very close to becoming a Chelsea player.
Well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has posted on Twitter Saturday morning his famous “here we go” sign to indicate a transfer is imminent.
Romano says Chelsea and Leicester agreed a deal on Friday night that will see Fofana complete a move to Stamford Bridge.
It is understood the 21-year-old will sign a six-year deal with the Blues, which will be worth £75million including add-ons.
The clubs are now just preparing the final documents before the transfer is officially announced.

Gary Lineker on Wesley Fofana
Lineker has boldly named the exit-bound centre-back as one of the elite young defenders in the game.
He thinks Chelsea fans are going to absolutely love their new signing:
“Gutted to lose him but wish Wesley Fofana well. Every player wants to play Champions League football so it’s understandable. Chelsea fans, you’ve got the most prodigiously talented young central defender in the world. Yes, I believe he’s that good,” Lineker wrote on Twitter.

Fofana’s reportedly become “obsessed” with the idea of joining Chelsea this summer, so this news is going to be a massive relief for him.
There’s going to be a new kind of pressure on him with a £70million-plus price tag. He’s more than capable of dealing with it, though.
The French centre-half has looked mature beyond his years in Leicester colours.
All great teams have great partnerships across their starting line-up, so it’ll be intriguing to see how Fofana and Reece James operate together on the right of Chelsea’s new-look defence.
