Stewart Robson has admitted he’s blown away by just how good Thiago Silva’s passing actually is, and he’s so impressed with how the Chelsea star has been playing recently.
Silva, who’s now 38, is one of the rare shining lights in the current Chelsea line-up.
The veteran centre-back is trying to hold the fort together in the Blues defence as massive cracks appear, something not helped by injuries to the likes of Reece James and Ben Chilwell.
It’s truly remarkable to see the £96,000-a-week still head and shoulders above most defenders in the Premier League.

Thiago Silva’s passing
ESPN pundit Robson has highlighted the incredible passing game of Chelsea’s ball-playing centre-half.
He’s shared it’s taken him a while to truly acknowledge the Brazilian’s fantastic passing.
“Thiago Silva is getting older, but he’s still putting in great performances. His passing out from the back I didn’t realise was as good as it was,” Robson told ESPN.

Silva can be so integral at times to what Chelsea actually do in possession.
The centre-back has mastered the long-range pass over the years, so fans will often see a few incredible switches of play per game.
His composure both on and off the ball at the back is something that’s got better and better with more experience.
Craig Burley recently said Silva is “by far” Chelsea’s best player at this moment in time, which is hard to disagree with when you compare available stars at Stamford Bridge.
