Romelu Lukaku’s agents are pushing hard to secure him a move from Chelsea to Juventus this summer.
That is according to a report from 90min.
They claim that Romelu Lukaku’s representatives are really working to get him a transfer to Juventus in this summer window.
90min explains that Juventus and Chelsea are currently discussing the idea of a possible swap deal.
If terms and payments can be agreed, Lukaku would get his desired move to Turin. Meanwhile, Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic would head the other way to Stamford Bridge as part of a player-plus-cash deal.
The report explains that Lukaku dreams of a return to Italy, but Inter Milan is no longer an option after they walked away from talks.
The Belgium international has interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, where several former Chelsea players have gone, but he wants to be back in the Serie A.
Gazzetta dello Sport explained that Lukaku has been in talks with his club Chelsea regarding his potential exit this summer. His agents are now pushing hard again to get him away from West London, too!
The writing has been on the wall for Lukaku at Chelsea for a long time, but the final nail of the coffin is when he was omitted from Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for this summer’s pre-season tour.
However, the centre-forward is still waiting for a transfer and a new home.
He’ll not be returning to the San Siro after 78 goals in 132 Inter appearances, but perhaps Juventus could be a decent alternative.
Described as “incredible” by Ashley Young a couple of years ago (BT Sport), Lukaku needs a new permanent home badly.
