Chelsea have reportedly agreed personal terms with Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland – and some Blues fans on Twitter are excited by the big transfer claim.
According to journalist Ian McGarry on the Transfer Window Podcast, Chelsea have reached personal terms with the 20-year-old superstar. It is understood terms were “signed off”.
However, a transfer fee would still need to be agreed with German club Dortmund if a deal were to take place.
The Telegraph claimed earlier this month that the asking price for the centre-forward is going to be above £150million. Therefore, it would take a club record deal for Chelsea to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Haaland is one of the most talked about players on the planet.
The Norwegian striker has been heavily linked with Chelsea, but this fresh update seems significant.
Chelsea fans buzzing with Erling Haaland update
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media are going wild over the Haaland news, rightly so.
He’s a forward who’s scored 57 goals in 59 games for Dortmund, which is even more remarkable when you consider he doesn’t turn 21 until next month.
It looks like he’s made for the Premier League on paper, so English audiences would love to see him join.
There can also be a suggestion made that the Blues are one prolific forward away from competing across the board for silverware next season.
