Chelsea academy midfielder Jacob Maddox has signed a four-year contract at Portuguese club Vitoria SC after seven years at the club.
The 21-year-old spent this season on loan spells at League One side Tranmere Rovers in the first half of the season, and Southampton for the rest of the season.
Maddox joined Chelsea at the age of 14 and won back-to-back FA Youth Cups as well as UEFA Youth Cup during his time at the academy.
But now Maddox has decided to move on to Portuguese club Vitoria SC.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
About his transfer, Maddox told Vitoria SC’s official website: “I am very excited. I followed Vitória over the last season and realizing how much Edwards and Suliman like to be here and feel valued here.”
“It is obvious that I was very happy when this opportunity arose and it was an immediate ‘yes’,”
“I am a player who tries to make things happen, but I am also a team player, who understands the defensive side of the game. I want the team to count on me and that we have a great season together.”
