Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has told Chelsea to go all out to sign Lyon forward Moussa Dembele. The Blues have reportedly submitted a bid of £40 million plus Olivier Giroud and are hopeful of signing the striker before the end of the window.
Lampard has identified other targets in the position, including Gabriel Barbosa, but former Chelsea man Hasselbaink has insisted that the club must sign Dembele.
When speaking to The Daily Mail, he said: ”They need to get a striker in. Moussa Dembele would be a magnificent signing for Chelsea. I know Moussa quite well. I faced him when I was QPR manager, he played ever so well and killed my defence.

”He has developed himself extremely well. He went to Celtic and played at a big club where the atmosphere and the pressure is there of winning. You have to win every match. When you are at Chelsea, you have to be able to handle the pressure of winning things and he has shown at Celtic he can do that.
”More importantly, he is a killer. He is a goalscorer. He lives for goals. He scores goals in different ways, with his head, with his feet, left and right. He is quick, he is strong, he can still improve, he is still very young.”

Hasselbaink clearly rates the Lyon striker and it is no wonder that his current club is so desperate to keep him. Lampard could do a lot worse than trusting the former Chelsea’s man’s word. He scored 87 goals in 176 games for the club and will know a good striker when he sees one.
