Chelsea youngster Dion Rankine completed his move yesterday to Exeter City.

Dion Rankine, who’s never been out on loan before, has joined League One club Exeter City for the whole of the 2023/24 campaign.

The 20-year-old is a highly-rated winger from the Blues academy, who played an important role last season in Chelsea’s Under-21s side.

However, the Englishman is now set for his first ever taste of first-team football at Exeter.

Rankine celebrated Wednesday’s move regarding his loan transfer with an Instagram post.

We’ve spotted in the comment section a three-word response from John Terry, who’s just returned to Chelsea to work in the academy again.

“Good luck mate,” Terry wrote.

Terry is the greatest talent to ever come out of Chelsea’s academy system, while some will argue he’s our best ever player.

It’s great to see him keeping a watchful eye over our current stars for the future.

If you’ve watched any of Rankine before in Chelsea’s academy games, you’ll know he’s a very quick wide player that loves to dribble 1v1 at opponents.

Hopefully, he can make a good start in Exeter and quickly establish himself in their line-up.

It’s going to be an interesting learning curve for the London-born talent as he steps up to senior football for the first time.
