Juventus already signed Renato Veiga from Chelsea during the January transfer window, and they’re now in discussions about bringing in another Blues player.
Italian giants Juventus, who currently sit fifth in the Serie A table, recently completed the signing of Renato Veiga on loan from Chelsea for the rest of the season.
After arriving in Turin this week, Veiga claimed his main role is at centre-back. The 21-year-old youngster mainly covered at left-back in the Blues squad during the first half of the season, so it’ll be interesting to see where he plays at Juventus.
It’ll be interesting to see if any more players exit West London in the January window…

Juventus start talks for Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka
According to The Sun, Juventus are now in discussions with Chelsea about signing their player Carney Chukwuemeka.
It is understood that the Blues would prefer to sell the 21-year-old attacking midfielder, but they could be open to allowing him to leave on loan until the end of the season.
The report adds that Premier League side West Ham expressed interest in Chelsea’s Chukwuemeka in January. However, the Hammers are not expected to step up their interest with a move in the final days of the mid-season window.
It’ll be interesting to see if Juventus can land their second player from Stamford Bridge in such a short space of time.
Juventus face plenty of competition to sign Chelsea youngster Chukwuemeka, who could cost £40m to sign permanently.
There’s no doubt that the English playmaker needs to try find a transfer exit before the deadline on 3 February. He’s only made five senior appearances across all competitions so far this season, so it’s pretty obvious that he’s quite far down Enzo Maresca’s pecking order.

Has Carney Chukwuemeka had a fair chance at Chelsea?
Chukwuemeka, who joined the Blues from Aston Villa in 2022, has had several injuries stall his development in recent years. In terms of the this season, we think he’s been quite unfortunate not to play more.
Chelsea planned to give Chukwuemeka the chance to impress this campaign, but five appearances across all competitions definitely doesn’t represent a fair chance.
| Competition | Appearnaces |
| Conference League | 4 |
| Carabao Cup | 1 |
| Premier League | 0 |
| FA Cup | 0 |
We’d love to see Chukwuemeka got more of a chance to play as a box-to-box midfielder in a No 8 position, especially since Enzo Fernandez is at risk of being overplayed. However, it looks like a move to Italy could be on the cards with Juventus discussing a transfer.
