Chelsea may not have to worry about Juventus in the race for one of their targets this summer.
The Blues have been in quite a few transfer tussles already.
Chelsea have signed the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Tosin Adarabioyo, but they had to see off competition from Brighton & Hove Albion and Newcastle United to bring in the midfielder and defender.
They are still interested in signing other players while the transfer window remains open.
And while the club are not going to get a free run at one target, they at least look to have the upper hand over one rival suitor.

Chelsea target wants to join Juventus
Adarabioyo may not be the only defensive arrival at Chelsea this summer.
The Blues have been heavily linked with Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori.
According to Calciomercato.it, the 22-year-old wants to join his former manager Thiago Motta at Juventus.
However, the same outlet claims that Juventus cannot afford to pay his potential €50m (£42m) price tag, which is good news for both Chelsea and Arsenal.
Their report says that the two London clubs are interested in Calafiori.
Can Chelsea afford to sign Riccardo Calafiori this summer?
Unlike Juventus, Chelsea obviously have Premier League money.
The club have players who they can sell as well to generate some more cash.
The likes of Romelu Lukaku, Armando Broja, Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah are all rumoured to be leaving Stamford Bridge.
Signing Calafiori for £42m is a deal that Chelsea should be able to do. The price tag should not be a problem for a club like them, even with PSR rules. The main issue is probably Arsenal’s interest.
Right now, the Gunners have more to offer to the Italian. They are in the Champions League and competed in the title race in the last two seasons.
If Chelsea want to beat their London rivals to Calafiori’s signature this summer, then they may have to offer the Italy international a better financial package.
