Chelsea could be about to do business with Arsenal again after selling Kai Havertz to the Gunners during the summer.

According to 90min journalist Graeme Bailey, Chelsea now have an interest in one of their players.

Speaking on Talking Transfers, Bailey claimed that the Blues are keeping an eye on Aaron Ramsdale‘s situation at the Emirates and could snap him up in January if he decides to push for a move.

The goalkeeper has lost his spot in Mikel Arteta’s team to David Raya. If Ramsdale does leave Arsenal in the new year, one report from TEAMtalk suggests that he could cost £60m.

Every chance Chelsea could now sign Aaron Ramsdale

Bailey thinks Ramsdale to Chelsea is now a possibility after his fall from grace at Arsenal.

Discussing the 25-year-old’s future on Talking Transfers, Bailey said: “The one situation that we need to keep an eye on is Aaron Ramsdale. My understanding is that Chelsea are keeping an active watch on this situation.”

Later on in the podcast, the journalist also went on to add: “If he hasn’t got his place back by January, I think he’s going to be pushing for a move. And if Arsenal make him available, there’s every chance that Chelsea will snap him up.”

Robert Sanchez potentially in danger

Any move for Ramsdale could see Sanchez lose his spot in the Chelsea starting XI.

The Blues only signed Sanchez from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer, but Ramsdale is not going to join them to be the Spanish goalkeeper’s deputy. He already has that role at Arsenal.

There is still a while to go before the January transfer window opens, though. If there are doubts at Stamford Bridge about Sanchez, then he has time to quash them.

Honestly, we do not believe Chelsea need to think about replacing the Spain international. He is a decent goalkeeper with some good attributes. Tony Cascarino, for example, recently highlighted how quick he is. That pace will be useful for when Sanchez needs to sweep.

When it comes to Chelsea and the transfer market, though, nothing ever seems to be off the table, and that could be bad news for their current No.1.
