Manchester City’s Kyle Walker has posted a heartfelt message on Instagram after Cole Palmer completed his move to Chelsea on Friday’s transfer deadline day.

Chelsea confirmed earlier today that they’ve made another high-profile signing on the final day of the window.

Cole Palmer, who’s just 21, has left European champions Man City to make the move to Stamford Bridge.

The exciting attacker will now look to integrated himself into a very young squad coached by Mauricio Pochettino

Man City defender Kyle Walker, 33, has uploaded an emotional goodbye post on social media.

He’s sent a message on Instagram alongside the image of him and Palmer: “Although I’m sad to see you leave City, I wish you nothing but happiness and success in the next chapter of your life. You have sat next to me in the Etihad changing rooms from the start of your arrival into to the first team and I have seen you grow & develop from a boy to a man. Don’t stop learning and striving to be the best you can be and will be my little brother.”

Palmer was a fully integrated member of a serial-winning Man City side, so in a strange way he’s going to be bringing a lot of experience to the Chelsea camp as a youngster.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Palmer has said his best two positions are as a right-winger or No 10.

We’re expecting him to push hard for a spot in the starting XI from day one.
