Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah will be leaving Stamford Bridge in January.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Italian journalist stated that Trevoh Chalobah will depart Chelsea in the next transfer window and refused to rule out the possibility of Bayern Munich making another move for him.

As per Sky Sports, Bayern were in talks with Chelsea to sign the 24-year-old in a £50m deal during the summer, but he ended up remaining at Stamford Bridge.

Chalobah is yet to play a game for the Blues this season, though he has been injured.

Trevoh Chalobah’s stats for Chelsea

While Chalobah has not featured for Chelsea in the current campaign yet, he has still made 63 appearances for the club in total and scored four goals.

Since breaking into the Blues’ first team, the centre-back has also won the Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.

Thomas Tuchel was the manager at the time and it is clear that Chalobah is a player who the German likes.

Considering that, and the fact that Chalobah has so much competition in front of him at Chelsea, we think a move to Bayern next year could be great for him.

There, he would get the chance to work with Tuchel again, a world-class manager who seems to appreciate him, and perhaps more opportunities to play.

With Mauricio Pochettino having the likes of Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile as centre-back options, it is hard to imagine Chalobah being a regular starter once he returns from injury.
