Levi Colwill has now posted a wordless reaction on Instagram after Chelsea announced the signing of Cole Palmer.

The 21-year-old arrives at Stamford Bridge from Manchester City in a £42.5m deal.

What’s the story?

Well, the Chelsea No.26 simply posted a blue heart emoji in response to the new Chelsea No.20’s Instagram upload about his move to west London.

Colwill was joined in congratulating Palmer on his £42.5m move by Everton’s James Garner, who wrote: “CP20!! Congrats brother.”

Angel Gomes, who won the European Championships alongside Palmer with England’s Under-21 side earlier this summer, also commented on the post.

The Lille No.8 wrote the following while also posting a heart emoji: “R kiddd best of luck.”

Another close friend of Palmer’s in the football world – Manchester City gem Joshua Wilson Esbrand – seemed very surprised by the move, writing “oh wow” in the comments section.

Clearly, the England Under-21 international’s move to Chelsea has gained plenty of attention in the footballing community.

Chelsea Transfer News – what else has happened?

In terms of incomings, it was expected to be a quiet day at Chelsea after Palmer signed.

However – according to Nieuwsblad in Belgium – Chelsea have made a £26m bid for Club Brugge wonderkid Antonio Nusa, who has been compared to Neymar.

The deal would see the Norwegian prodigy loaned back to Club Brugge for the 2023/24 campaign.
