Crystal Palace are now very close to securing a deal to sign Chelsea’s Lewis Hall on a temporary basis.
That is according to well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Romano reported late on Friday night that Lewis Hall, 18, is on the verge of exiting Chelsea on loan for the upcoming season.
It is understood that Premier League and London club Palace are at “advanced stages” to sign the versatile youngster.
Romano wrote on Twitter: “Crystal Palace are closing in on Lewis Hall loan deal with Chelsea. Talks are at advanced stages, almost agreed — final details being discussed.”

Hall didn’t look out of place in the slightest last year in Chelsea’s first team, playing nine Premier League games in total.
However, we really like the sound of him developing his game this campaign out on loan at Palace with regular minutes.
The English teenager is a brilliant option at either left-back or in central midfield, so it will be interesting to see where he’s deployed at Selhurst Park. Of course, the deal still needs to be finalised.

South London Press reported earlier this week that Hall could be set to sign a Chelsea contract extension before leaving to join Palace on loan.
In our view, the left-footed rising star has every chance of breaking into Mauricio Pochettino’s Blues squad further down the line.
Hall, who Micah Richards previously described as “magnificent” on Sky Sports, will be adored by the Palace faithful.
Despite being just 18, he plays with such intelligence all over the park and isn’t phased at the top level. He’s technically sound and a great crosser, too.
