'Looking for transfer': Agent says Tagliafico is set to leave this summer
The agent of reported Chelsea target Nicolas Tagliafico, Ricardo Schlieper, said they have reached an agreement with Ajax and have been working on a potential summer transfer.
The 27-year-old is one of several left-backs who have been linked with Chelsea ahead of the transfer window.
According to the Express, the Argentina international emerged as a cheaper alternative to Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell since Ajax value the full-back at a relatively low €25million (£22.4m).
Now Tagliafico’s agent Schlieper has come out and admitted that his client is set to leave Ajax this summer.
The agent told Radio Del Plata’s ‘Como te vaa, Benedetto’ programme: “We are looking for a transfer for Tagliafico.
“We have agreed with Ajax that he would leave this year. After having spent two-and-a-half seasons at the club, it’s the ideal moment for it.
“There are clubs that are interested but we have to see how everything pans out with football and the pandemic.
“I will never mention the name of the club we are speaking with because it hurts the negotiations for us and the player.”

Tagliafico has five goals and five assists in all competitions for Ajax this season.
Having joined Ajax in 2018, the former Independiente defender still has two years left in his contract at Johan Cruyff Arena.
He has previously told Radio Continental (as quoted by Transfermarkt) about his desire to play in another league, saying: “Ajax are a fantastic club, but the Eredivisie is not that strong”
