Chelsea supporters on social media didn’t take kindly to the news that Andreas Christensen could be used in a potential deal to sign Achraf Hakimi.
Hakimi has emerged as a top target for the Blues and according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Christensen might be offered as a makeweight to sign the Moroccan.
Emerson Palmieri was also mentioned as part of the possible trade off.
The Danish defender is contracted with Chelsea until 2022, but the conversation about an extension is yet to surface.

It would be a strange turn of events should the 25-year-old be allowed to leave London, considering how well he performed towards the campaign’s tail end.
Blues fans were of the same response and demanded Christensen stay put at Stamford Bridge.
Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:
In the main, Chelsea followers would be excited at the prospect of signing Hakimi.
During his brief career, the right back has already featured for Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan, the club he resides with currently.
He joined the Italian champions last summer from Madrid for £36.3m (Sky Sports) and went onto make 45 appearances across all competitions.

Christensen meanwhile was implemented into Chelsea’s academy as a teenager, rose through the ranks, and was sent out on loan before he became a first-team regular.
Of course, if he is not rewarded with a new agreement, then swapping him out for Hakimi might become a more attractive option.

I am very much for the Chelsea fans when I say Christensen should be going nowhere.
He’s proved more than most over the past few months that he can cut it with the very best.
If I had said to you a year ago that Andreas Christensen could come on for Thiago Silva in the Champions League final and not look out of place, the reaction would have been comical.
Let him grow into the centre-back Thomas Tuchel is so desperate to buy.
