Manchester United are now on the verge of signing Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella this week.
That is according to a report from Spanish publication Marca.
They claim that Marc Cucurella, 25, is ‘very close’ to completing a move to Old Trafford.
It is understood that the Spanish defender would welcome a switch to Man United, who are currently negotiating the potential deal with Chelsea.
The report explains that the left-back is primed to join Man United on loan for the season.

Erik ten Hag’s side have suffered injury blows at left-back recently in their squad, which is why they’re now linked with a new full-back addition during this final week of the summer transfer window.
Cucurella’s first year as a Chelsea player last season certainly didn’t go to plan, with the player struggling to live up to the £60million (Sky Sports) price tag.
The £175,000-a-week defender (Spotrac) found himself in and out of the starting line-up due to inconsistent performances.
Meanwhile, he’s been an unused substitute in all three of Chelsea’s Premier League matches this campaign under Mauricio Pochettino.

Cucurella was described as “very intelligent” last season by former boss Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea (BBC Sport). He’s certainly lost his way in the past 12 months when it comes to the level of his performances, though.
The attack-minded full-back proved in Brighton colours before his Chelsea move how much quality he possesses and how well he can do in English football.
Unfortunately, it feels like the wrong fit at Stamford Bridge and perhaps a move makes sense for him. However, a loan deal to a direct rival is a bit suspect.
Chelsea would still have the great options of Ben Chilwell and Ian Maatsen for the left-back position this season if Cucurella’s possible exit does move over the line.
