‘Marina masterclass’: Some Chelsea fans love one reported detail of Saul transfer

Chelsea completed a deal on Tuesday’s transfer deadline day to bring Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul to Stamford Bridge – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are amazed by one reported detail of the transfer.

The Blues announced late last night that they have signed the 26-year-old on a season-long loan deal that also includes the option to buy him at the end of the campaign.

According to Sky Sports, it would cost just £30million to sign him permanently next summer.

Saul, who’s won six trophies as an Atletico player, is now a member of the Chelsea squad for the 2021/22 campaign.

The experienced Spanish midfielder joins at an age where his peak years should be just around the corner and it’s an exciting addition to a group already stacked with talent.

Blues manager Thomas Tuchel now has another quality central midfielder at his disposal, so it should give him the freedom to rotate a little more in domestic and European competitions.
