Haaland has been at the forefront of Chelsea and several European heavyweight’s attention for some time.
The 20-year-old doesn’t run out of contract with Dortmund until 2024, with a release clause kicking in next year.
However, many teams are desperate to snatch up him before then for a possible mouth-watering fee.
A report from the ESPN stated that Haaland’s price will be set at €180m (£153m).
This certainly limits the number of possible destinations for the Norway international.
Manchester City and Chelsea are perhaps the only two English sides with that type of backing.
Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid could probably muster up that kind of money.
Yet Barcelona, the club Raiola is apparently conversing with, are not in the finest financial state.
ESPN said the La Liga giant’s gross debit had risen to nearly €1.2 billion (£1 billion).
Throwing that kind of cash at Haaland would certainly raise questions about their economic structure once again.
But it’s a high price many are willing to pay, because of Haaland’s quite startling talent.
