Chelsea supporters were not amused when they found out that the list of centre-backs apparently on their club’s transfer wish list, as reported by The Athletic.
Niklas Sule, Ibrahima Konate and Jose Gimenez are apparently three of the names under consideration.
This did certainly not go down well with certain sections of Chelsea fans, especially Sule’s inclusion.
All three were highlighted for their chequered health history.
Gimenez is currently out for Atletico Madrid, nursing a muscular problem.

He missed the Champions League tie against Chelsea last month and may be a doubt for the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge.
Konate was absent for large sections of RB Leipzig’s season after suffering a torn muscle and then an ankle injury.

Sule hardly featured in any of Bayern Munich’s 2019/20 campaign as he overcame a ruptured cruciate ligament.
Both of the Bundesliga’s defenders have overcome their problems but only Sule is a regular at their respective clubs.
None of the defensive trio’s contracts run out until at least next summer, with 25-year-old Sule’s deal the earliest to run out of the group.

But Chelsea have their own furniture to rearrange at Stamford Bridge before they start bringing in new items.
Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger’s resurgence has earned them a possible contract extension.
Thiago Silva is yet to commit his short-term future to Chelsea, with Fikayo Tomori facing the same uncertainty but in the long run.
There’s likely to be a major reshuffle of Thomas Tuchel’s pack before too long.
It is yet to be seen who that will involve.
The Chelsea Chronicle View
If I’m perfectly honest, I haven’t seen enough of any of the three names to cast judgement.
However, looking back at their medical records makes for grim reading.
Not that this is completely what they should be judged on, but it definitely comes into consideration.
I do feel Chelsea have got decent options at the minute, although they probably are missing that one world-class piece to glue it all together.
