Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech, with the Moroccan international set to finally leave west London this summer.

According to the Sunday Mirror, the Serie A leaders have reignited their interest in the 30-year-old playmaker, with Napoli seemingly keen on using the former Ajax star as bait in a potential deal for Chelsea involving Victor Osimhen or Khvica Kvaratskhelia.

Lauded as ‘quality’ by Frank Lampard, Ziyech has endured another hard season at Chelsea having seen a January move to PSG fall through whilst also failing to make much of an impact under former manager Graham Potter, with the outcast now expected to be one of the first names out of Stamford Bridge this summer.

Whilst it’s hard to imagine Napoli wanting Ziyech in a swap deal for two of their best players, there is obvious room for the Italian giants to sign the £34m Chelsea forward in an outright transfer, with the Blues seemingly keen on letting the Morrocan leave as soon as possible.

Indeed, Ziyech has hardly featured for Chelsea this season, and with Todd Boehly set to oversee the gruelling task of offloading as much deadwood as possible, Napoli could be gifted a golden chance to sign the Blues attacker at a bargain price.

Ziyech has clearly been underused and underappreciated by Chelsea since joining the club, with the winger once one of the best creative forwards in Europe and a talent that every big team in Europe seemingly wanted to sign during his Ajax years. And Napoli landing the Moroccan for cheap could be a coup.

As we know, the Serie A giants are perfectly suited for Ziyech’s style of play, and with the attacker keen to find a new start away from Chelsea, Naples could be the ideal new home for the 30-year-old, who the west London side might be ready to bin off for cheap this summer.
