Chelsea fans have been told that there is “no chance” of Harry Kane moving to Stamford Bridge from Tottenham this summer.

That is according to Matt Law of the Telegraph.

The journalist gave one particular reason when explaining why Harry Kane will not join Chelsea.

What’s the story?

Well – to put it simply – the Spurs No.10 does not want to ruin his legacy at Tottenham by joining a rival side in Chelsea.

Law told the Last Word On Spurs podcast: “He wouldn’t get to Chelsea. I’ve stood in front of Kane and interviewed him so many times. His loyalty, he won’t go to Chelsea. No chance. He really does value that legacy, he really does.”

Clearly, the England international does not want to tarnish his reputation in N17 by moving to Chelsea.

As things stand, Real Madrid seem the most likely option for Kane after Karim Benzema moved to Saudi Arabia.

A story from MARCA in Spain claimed that the 29-year-old is keen to replace the France international at the Santiago Bernabeu, and with just 12 months remaining on his contract at Tottenham, a move could happen.

Kane remarkably scored 32 goals in 49 appearances for Spurs during the 2022/23 campaign, despite Tottenham struggling to perform as a team.

Kane alternatives for Chelsea

With Kane definitely not joining Chelsea – according to Law – Mauricio Pochettino will have to explore other options.

One name the Argentine could pursue is Victor Osimhen. 90min believe the Nigeria international is the South American’s No.1 striker target this summer as he aims to bring a quality No.9 to west London with him.

According to ESPN, Juventus No.9 Dusan Vlahovic is another option for Chelsea this summer.

Be sure to keep an eye on the situation, as Chelsea are likely to sign a new striker for Pochettino.
