'Oh yes': Some Chelsea fans excited over two signings they could still reportedly make this summer

Plenty of Chelsea supporters on social media had their interests peaked by the latest news regarding Saul Niguez and Jules Kounde.

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea are debating whether to make a last-minute dash for Saul, who is on the verge of leaving his Spanish settlement.

Thomas Tuchel is not prioritising signing another midfielder before the window traps shut.

His, or his employer’s, focus is directed towards another who currently roams La Liga.

Kounde remains on the bullseye of the Blues’ dartboard, but their throws to find the Sevilla defender have been slightly wayward so far.

However, they could yet manage to hit a bullseye before the transfer window closes – if they manage to shift on some fringe players.

And the idea of taking both the La Liga stars has really excited Chelsea fans on social media.

Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:

Saul good man?

Chelsea wouldn’t be taking the leap of faith if they decided to jump into recruiting Saul.

He is an experienced campaigner, despite only being alive for 26-years.

The Atletico man has played under one of the game’s most charismatic and respected managers for nearly a decade, learning all the dark arts from Diego Simeone.

A Spanish title winner and two-time Europa League champion, Saul adds strength to an already sturdy Chelsea squad.

Yet, they might not be able to bolster Thomas Tuchel’s camp if they cannot offload a few of their own before the month’s end.

Ross Barkley, Danny Drinkwater and Tiemoue Bakayoko are still mooching around at the back of the party, unaware they’d been asked to leave several hours ago.

If Chelsea can orchestrate the sales or loans of the disregarded trio, then the pathway to Kounde and Saul will be much clearer.
